AMERICAN POWER PARTNERS

SAFE. RELIABLE.
ECONOMICALLY SUSTAINABLE.

American Power Partners looks to become one of the largest producers of clean energy in the State of Texas by developing and operating assets in a safe, reliable and economically sustainable manner within the ERCOT market.

ERCOT

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas

ERCOT manages the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers — representing about 90 percent of the state’s electric load.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Increasing pressure to address climate change from the Federal Government, Wall Street, and environmental groups has the ERCOT market scrambling to find ESG solutions.

OUTAGES

Winter Storm Uri was devasting this past February to Texas – it is estimated that the storm was responsible for over 100 deaths, $295 billion in damage and more than 4.5m homes & businesses lost power. The storm highlighted the dire need in Texas for more reliable sources of power generation and transmission.

RENWABLE MANDATE

With ERCOT’s renewables mandate, the market will continue to be challenged to find greener, yet more reliable sources of energy to meet Texas’ ever growing power demand – all while planning to decommission nearly all coal fired generation and other related combustion power generation by 2035.

SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES

While ERCOT looks for more reliable sources of green energy, these sources of renewables [Solar, Wind, Battery] face their own challenges with supply chain issues, production issues and cost to benefit ratios on financing.

WHO WE ARE

American Power Partners

American Power Partners LLC (APP) is a power generation company that is looking to develop and operate dispatchable resource assets specifically in the ERCOT market. In partnership with its preferred vendor, Power Infrastructure Partners (PIP), APP can engineer, permit, construct and operate generation assets on a complete turnkey basis.

ENERGY DEMAND

MORE RELIABLE POWER

ERCOT’s own energy demand forecast, puts the projected peak demand increase to almost 100,000 GWh between now & 2030 – a figure that took just under 20 years previously to attain.

The ERCOT market is in desperate need for more sources of reliable power and those sources of power will need to be more reliable than what is projected to come online over the next 3 years.
